Substitute 67.5 into the equation

67.5 = 1.123x-6.443

1.123x= 73.943

X= 65.8441

Answer with explanation:

Linear regression equation which predict the arm span,y,of a person who is x inches tall is:

y= 1.123 x - 6.443

Length of Arm span
y_(1)= 67.5 inches

We have to calculate
x_(1).

\Rightarrow y_(1)=1.123 x_(1) -6.443\\\\\Rightarrow 67.5=1.123 x_(1) -6.443\\\\\Rightarrow 67.5+6.443=1.123 x_(1)\\\\\Rightarrow 73.943=1.1 2 3x_(1)\\\\\Rightarrow x_(1)=(73.943)/(1.123)\\\\\Rightarrow x_(1)=65.8441\\\\\Rightarrow x_(1)=65.85

⇒Riley height=65.85 inches
