5. How did establishing the Medicare program reflect the ideas of the Great Society programs?

Great Society Program is the campaign on alleviating poverty of Americans by the Pres. Lyndon Baines Johnson. By establishing Medicare, it alleviated the impoverished American people especially those who it need it most. Medicare Insurance policy for people aged 65 and older and or children with disabilities needs government support in medical expenses. With this support, Americans are in a way are helped through diversion of their resources to other expenses such as food and education.
