Lennie is one of the main characters in the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Lennie is a man with a mental disability, although it is not clear what his condition is exactly. Lennie is very dependent on George. When we meet them, we learn that the two of them are itinerant workers who had to leave the town of Weed because of Lennie's behaviour. Lennie clung unto a girl's dress back in town, and this led the people of Weed to believe that he was trying to ra.pe her. This forced the two to leave the town.
