Monday through Thursday is 4 days and John has 1.5 hours of homework for those days. Therefore 1.5 x 4 = 6 hours from Monday-Thursday. He also has 2.75 hours on the weekend so in a week he has 6 + 2.75 = 8.75 hours of homework. 8.75 = 8 3/4 hours
