rental company charges: $18.95
each mile driven: 19€
Step 1: 50
-18.95
-----------
30.05
Step 2: 30.05/.19 ^^ 158.157 is demonstrating cents.
Step 3: Estimate "158.157" into a whole number .
158.157= 158 miles= $30.05
Answer/Result: Shannon can drive approximately 158 miles.

The maximum number of miles Shannon can drive is 163.42 miles
$50-$18.95=$31.05
#31.05/.19=163.42
