It is more than evident that the correct answer is D., since all of the others (Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides) were tragedians, not comedians. Aristophanes, on the other hand, wrote many hilarious comedies making fun of all sorts of people, including his fellow playwright Euripdes (whom he disparaged in The Frogs) and the philosopher Socrates (satirized in The Clouds).
