Why does Mo Yan not explore political issues in his Nobel speech?

D.Political issues are not appropriate for Nobel speeches

I think it is the best answer among the choices. From what data I read, Mo Yan said of his Nobel win that it is a literature victory, not a political victory. Thus, exploring political issues in his Nobel speech is not constructive nor appropriate.
