Correct answer: A). Longshore Drift

Landshore drift is a process that is responsible for moving the amount of sand along the coast. It occurs when the waves hit the beach at an angle and carry away the particle of gravel and sand to the coast of the beach.

When the water goes back the sand is carried straight back down the beach. The particle is moved in a zig-zag motion along the beach.
