A designer uses 8 clay beads for every 12 wooden beads to make a necklace. The

designer has 42 wooden beads. He sets up the proportion 8/42 = x/12
12 to find the number
of clay beads he will need to make necklaces. Is the proportion correct? How many
clay beads does the designer need? Explain.
