The more stable an area, the more -species- are in the area. Because if the biodiversity is higher, then there is more species, and there will be a lower rate of extinction. An ecosystem wit a low biodiversity means that individual species will become extinct and will have a very bad impact on the ecosystem and the organisms for all the species and organisms in the ecosystem are linked
