6.8 in dollars should be written as $6.80. Put the dollar sign in front of the number when you're dealing with money and if it's a scenario where there is no hundredths, just add a zero.

money is just like decimals. 6.8 as money is $6.80 just be sure to add a zero if the hundredths place isn't occupied.
