To start with a construction.
We either need a point or a line, a ray or a segment.
For the point we always need a compass to start with.
For a line, ray or a segment we always need a straight edge to start with.
Then if we have standard angles we make them using compass.
If the angles are not standard we use protractor to make those angles.
To make a segment of required length we need a ruler.
So to construct we shall need either of the following tools
Straight edge, ruler, compass or a protractor.
