Why is photosynthesis referred to as a biochemical pathway?

It is referred to as the biochemical pathway because it converts the energy from the sun into chemical molecules (glucose) that the plant can use in its cells.

Biochemical pathway just means the interaction of biological elements and chemical molecules, in a pathway that produces the plant's food, and releases oxygen.
