we know that

the formula to calculate the distance between two points is equal to

d=\sqrt{(y2-y1)^(2)+(x2-x1)^(2)}

In this problem we have

A(x1,y1)=(-2,4)\\B(x2,y2)=(2,0)

substitute in the formula

d=\sqrt{(0-4)^(2)+(2+2)^(2)}

d=\sqrt{(-4)^(2)+(4)^(2)}

d=√(32)\ units

Round to the nearest hundredth

d=√(32)\ units=5.66\ units

therefore

the answer is

the distance is equal to
5.66\ units
