Solve linear equation -x + 4 = -2x

my attempt: -x + 4 - 4 = -2x - 4
-x = -6x

I think i missed a step or something..

any help would be appreciated

your mistake is that you added the wrong terms
se youwent from -2x-4 to -6x, that is wrong

so

minus 4 from both sides
-x=-2x-4
add 2x to both sides
2x-x=2x-2x-4
1x=0x-4
x=0-4
x=-4
