Sooooooooooooo the sodium is an energy that is used to remove acid from the body. The pump is  particularly important for the muscle and nerve cells. So that means that the sodium potassium pump is important so you can have that electrical charge/energy.

Its important because it contributes to action potential produced by nerve cells. The unbalanced charge transfer contributes to the separation of the cell membrane across from it.
