The resistance of most common metals as the temperature of the metal increases would increase. As temperature increases, the lattice begins to vibrate, more and more. The vibration of lattice also obeys quantum mechanics, and is said to consist of quanta of vibration called 'phonons'. These phonons collide with free electrons, and scatter them.
