Why were there problems between the US and Cuba?

The Soviet Union was sending nuclear weapons to Cuba. basically they formed an alliance. That was the Cuban Missle Crisis. Another reason is because Cuba is a dictatorship, and the U.S. is not. People had to illegally leave the country. I'ma  Cuban myself. Hope i helped :)
