The coelacanth tells about majorly about the evolution where species started moving from water towards land and for a longer period of time it was believed that coelacanth was the first fish to transit from water towards land. It also can provide information as how it survived the event of mass extinction some 60 million years ago and now is considered to be the oldest living fossils.

It is the oldest species of fish in present time.
