Sickness like the chicken pox and not enough ammunition and barley any clothing to wear

George Washington's army lacked food, and that led to the deaths of about 2,000 soldiers. Also, tough weather conditions, mainly cold winter weather, caused for many soldiers to get sick, malnourished, and die.
