think of it as pie one is split into thirds and one split into fourths then combine them so you should have a pie split into sixths shade two of spaces(representing the one 1\3 and 1\4 so you should have 4\6 spaces left(2\3 left and 3\4 left) and boom your answer your welcom

I believe it's 12 parts? Because 1 third would be 4/12 and 1 fourth would be 3/12.
