Translate each equation into slop intercept form. (Isolate the Y)

7y + 14 = 2x

10 = -2y + 2x

y/2 = x - 3

y = 4x + 1

2x + y = 6

3y = 2x - 3

I'm having trouble with these, so could you also please tell me how you got the answer?

The way to find slope intercept form is simple. All you have to do is isolate the Y whether a number is attached to the number or not. In some cases, this will solve the problem, but in other cases it wont. If it does not, then divide/multiply the number on both sides to isolate the Y completely. Here are the answers to your questions.

1. y = (2/7)x - 2

2. y = x - 5

3. y = 2x - 6

4. y = 4x +1 (The Y was already isolated)

5. y = -2x + 6

6. y = (2/3)x - 1

The equation for slope intercept is y=mx+b. So for the first you you need to put it in that equation.  You start by subtracting 14 from both sides so you get: 7y=2x-14.  Than you have to divide both sides by 7 so you get: y=2/7x-2.  Than you can graph the equation.  Basically for each one you need to put it in the correct equation which is slope intercept.  Hope this helped and let me know if you have any questions!
