I think that Augustus is a more important leader because he achieved so many things. He created a professional army. He conquered new territories in Northern Europe. He also rebuilt Roman palaces and public buildings. Appointed governors to rule the Roman provinces and he also reformed the Roman tax system. He also gave rights to the non-citizens. Julius Caesar did a lot too, but to me it seems like Augustus has totally rebuilt the whole empire. Also, when Augustus died, no one could top him because he did so many great things.
