c - 1 1/4 > -2 1/2
c > 1 1/4 - 2 1/2
1 1/4 to improper fraction = (4*1 + 1)/4 = 5/4
2 1/2 to improper fraction = (2*2 + 1)/4 = 5/2
c > 1 1/4 - 2 1/2
c > 5/4 - 5/2 5/2 = (5*2)/(2*2) = 10/4
c > 5/4 - 10/4
c > (5 - 10)/4
c > -5/4
Hope this helps.
