Why did groups such as Anabaptists and Jews face persecution during the Counter-Reformation?

Anabaptists believed baptism in adults, which was against the Protestant and Catholic belief of baptism in infants. Catholics and Protestants saw this idea as a threat to their beliefs and persecuted the Anabaptists. The Jews were punished because they didn’t convert to Christianity.
