The total area is the sum of the area of the base (65 m^2) and six times the area of one of the triangular sides.  This area (of one side) is (1/2)(base)(height), or (1/2)(5)(12), so the total area of the sides is 6(1/2)(5)(12) = 180 m^2.  Thus, the total area is 65 m^2 + 180 m^2 = 245 m^2.
