Roosevelt discussed several different topics during his fireside chats. Below are just some of the topics he discussed over the course of his presidency.
1) The banking crisis- In one of his first fireside chats, FDR explained the national bank holiday he implemented two days after inauguration.
2) New Deal programs- FDR discussed his policies/acts of legislation he wanted passed in order to help America recover from the Great Depression.
3) Fighting fascism- FDR discussed his goals in fighting fascism and totalitarian rules on a global scale.
These chats became famous, as FDR spoke in a manner that allowed the average citizen to understand the reasoning behind his actions.
