Martin Seligman advocates a positive psychology that focuses on such topics as "Optimism, Enhancing our experiences, learning to "savor" pleasurable experiences".

Positive psychology is "the logical investigation of what makes life most worth living", or "the logical investigation of constructive human working and prospering on numerous levels that incorporate the natural, individual, social, institutional, social, and worldwide measurements of life". Positive psychology started as another domain of psychology in 1998.
