I believe the correct answer is: False.

When Hamlet stabs Polonius in William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”, Act III, scene 2, Hamlet does not recognize Polonius’s voice prior to the killing. After he stabs him, he asks If he has stabbed the king:

GERTRUDE:

Oh my God, what have you done?

HAMLET:

I don’t know. Is it the king?
