Contingency change theorists and practitioners take an "it depends" approach in which the style of change, especially the style of leadership, is dependent on the scale of the proposed change and the readiness of the staff to receive it. Contingency change theorists believe there is no best way for an organization to be organized and who should make appropriate decisions on behalf of the organization.
