Stacey is selling tickets to the school play. the tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children. she sells twice as many adult tickets as children's tickets and brings in a total of $108. how many of each kind of ticket did she sell?

Children tickets = x
Adult tickets = 2x

Construct the equation:
4x + 7(2x) = 108
4x + 14x = 109
18x = 108
x = 6

x = 6
2x = 12
