I believe that this is an example of physiological need. According to drive-reduction theory,a need is the physiological state that triggers motivational arousal. This aroused motivated state is often triggered by a physiological need called a drive. Psychologists use an emphasis on instincts, optimum arousal, a hierarchy of motives and a drive in an effort to explain motivation.
