The heart is a fist sized organ slightly to the left in the chest cavity. It consists of 4 chambers the right and left atrium and the right and left ventricle. The heart contains 4 valves (tricuspid, 2x semi lunar valves and the bicuspid) the heart has papillary muscles and tendonous cords which prevent the valves from inverting.
