Hello!
You can solve this algebraically
5x + 15 + 2x = 24 + 4x
Combine like terms
7x + 15 = 24 + 4x
Subtract 4x from both sides
3x + 15 = 24
Subtract 15 from both sides
3x = 9
Divide both sides by 3
x = 3
the answer is 3
