Hello!

You can solve this algebraically

5x + 15 + 2x = 24 + 4x

Combine like terms

7x + 15 = 24 + 4x

Subtract 4x from both sides

3x + 15 = 24

Subtract 15 from both sides

3x = 9

Divide both sides by 3

x = 3

the answer is 3

Hope this helps!
