A regular pentagon with side lengths of 9 units is translated 2 units to the left. What is the length of one side of the pentagon after translation, in units?

The length of the sides would still be 9 unit because it is not effecting the scale of the object, just transfer it from one place to other.

Please note that "A translation is an isometry that maps all points of a figure the same distance in the same direction". Thus, a translation will never change the dimensions of any geometric figure. It will just shift the figure from one place to the other keeping it's dimensions the same.

Therefore, even when a regular pentagon with side lengths of 9 units is translated 2 units to the left, the length of one side of the pentagon after translation will still be 9 units.
