I would say that in the 1840's which was still part of the Industrial Revolution, enterpeneurs built textile mills so as to vastly increase productivity over the previous cottage spinning industries by having all the workers under one roof in a factory using high speed spinning machines like the Spinning Jenny and with the increased production came higher profits for the enterpeneurs, especially in England,
