The angle on the bottom is a straight angle so its 180˚
The angles to solve are complementary (adding up to 90˚)

5x+x+54=90
6x+54=90
6x=36
x=6

90 - (x + 54) - 5x
= 90 - x - 54 - 5x
= 90 - 54 - 6x
= 36 - 6x
6x = 36
x = 36/6
x = 6
