The governor's role is to veto or approve amendments
When the legislative body, which is the Georgian assembly, passes a new law or a new amendment to previous laws or anything similar, the governor has the power to veto if if they dislike it or they can allow it to become a law. If a veto occurs, the law goes back to the assembly and the assembly can then pass it only if they get a much higher majority than just the regular one.
