(1/3) m - 7 = 5
(1/3) m - 7 + 7= 5 + 7 ⇒⇒⇒ edit 7 to both sides
(1/3) m = 12
3 * (1/3) m = 12 * 3 ⇒⇒⇒ multiply both sides by 3
∴ m = 36
