The midpoint of a segment refers to the point in the middle of any segment. This can be find by using the formula,
M=( (x_(1)+ x_(2))/(2), ( y_(1) + y_(2) )/(2))
.

In this exercise is given the endpoints of the diameter of a circle with coordinates (-3,-5) and (-11,-7). It is asked to find the center of the circle or in other words the midpoint of the segment or diameter, to do that you should substitute the given coordinates into the Midpoint Formula.

M=( (x_(1)+ x_(2))/(2), ( y_(1) + y_(2) )/(2))

M=( (-3-11)/(2), (-5-7)/(2))

M=( (-14)/(2), (-12)/(2))

M=(-7,-6)

The center of the circle is represent by the coordinate (-7,-6).
