Whats the diference between a red and white blood cell

The function of red blood cells in the body is to transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues. Red blood cells produce a protein called hemoglobin, which absorbs oxygen from the lungs. Hemoglobin is also what gives blood its color. The function of white blood cells is to defend the body from various infections.
