The correct answer is Choice B. The graph is symmetrical about the y-axis.
The quadratic parent function is a parabola. It is shaped like the letter U. Therefore, you could draw a vertical line (y-axis) down the middle and it would be symmetrical.

The correct answer is B) its graph is symmetrical about the y-axis.
It is not symmetrical about the x-axis; you cannot "fold" the graph across the x-axis.
Its domain is not the set of non-negative numbers; you can use negative numbers for x as well as positive.
Its range is not the set of all real numbers; we cannot get a negative y-value from squaring a number.
