Fossils of aquatic reptiles found in freshwater rocks suggested to Wegener that these reptiles probably did not cross the oceans. And the main reason to why he had actually thought this actually made a lot of sense. Based on the fact that these reptiles were just founded under the water and also fresh water, their fossils were shown, which this tells us that they did not cross the ocean, but practically died in the ocean, without crossing it, and therefore, that would be why his observations would actally make al lot of sense in this regard. Therefore, your answer would then be (option b).
