What are te main reasons why the Moral Majority declined at the end of the 1980’s?

The main reason is its financial difficulties. The Moral Majority's financial base seriously eroded by the time it became part of the Liberty Federation. Donations were decreasing because of the reason that the nation did not appear to donors to be in the same state of moral peril as they perceived it to be when Reagan first took office.
