Mr. Hogan's class has 20 students in it. On picture day, 6 students stand in the first row, 5 students stand in the second row, 4 students stand in the third row, and 5 students stand in the fourth row. If a random student blinks, what is the probability that the student will be in the second or third row?

Hi there! The answer is 50% (or 0.5).

There are 10 students in either the first or the third row. In total we have 20 students. Therefore the probability can be determined by dividing 10 (amount of correct answers) by 20 (total amount of outcomes).

(10)/(20) = 0.5 = 50\%
