Let
x----------> the number of students
y---------> the time in minutes
we know that
If the time varies inversely with the number of students
so
y=k/x
for x=3
y=16 min
16=k/3---------> k=48
y=48/x
for x=2
y=48/2-------> y=24 minutes
the answer is
24 minutes
