Read the quote from "My Heart Is Bursting." Two years ago I made peace with Generals Harney, Sanborn, and Colonel Leavenworth at the mouth of the Little Arkansas. That peace I have never broken. What cultural view is most reflected in this quotation?

What we see here is that what the speaker is doing is communicating that he made a promise by manner of making peace. Even after 2 years, the speaker notes he has not broken this promise (keeping the peace) with the two generals and the colonel. The cultural view this reflects is that good men will always keep their word.
