The amount of blood remaining in the left ventricle after the ejection phase is known as the End Systolic Volume. In a normal typical heart, the End Systolic Volume is usually about 50 milliliters of blood. The end systolic volume is usually the lowest volume of blood that is in the left ventricle at any given point in the cardiac cycle.
