Many young men were pulled into the war in order to fight for there country. They faced many harsh problems in what such as sleeping on a comfortable bed next to different men and also low food storages.
Also....
As you look at the photo you see them sleeping in a cave on worn out benches. Its most likely cold, and also not alot of light. Also probably not able to sleep well and also you would hear alot of moaning because of wounded soldiers.
